23. Abbie Draheim, East Lansing

- Despite the slightly lower rating from 2017, Abbie has spent three years at the forefront of Lansing area cross country
- She’s notched two top-10 performances at Greater Lansing and 2 Regional titles
- She’s spent all three years in the 18’s (even 2018, a season cut short)
- This past year was a year full of PRs, first nabbed at East Lansing, then again at the DeWitt Regional
- To cap it off, she ran her best race of the season at MIS, finishing 14th
23. Kazuma Bowring, Highland-Milford

Kazuma is a multiple sport athlete that is competitive in all that he does. In the winter he plays on the Milford Hockey Team, where he received Honorable Mention All-State honors for his defensive play. Last spring he anchored our 7:47 4×800 team as a Sophomore on a team with 3 seniors.
Coach Brian Salyers
- Milford, like a few other schools, runs a small number of meets, which one bad race can derail a season average
- Kazuma did not have that bad race, even his “worst” performance was a sub-17 at the toughest course in Metro Detroit, 13th in Oakland County
- Ran his best races to end the season, with three straight 200+ performances (equivalent of sub-16)
- MITCA was 15:57 (208.2)
- Looks to be the lead runner on a Milford squad that’ll be knocking on the top-10 yet again
