50 Tickets to Brooklyn
A celebration of the best returners, ranked from 50 to 1. In terms of depth, this may be the strongest year yet. There are some omissions of very fast kids… but don’t worry, I’ll share some love in the Top Tens and Regional Previews.
These take into account:
- The 2022 XC season
- Projected improvements
- The 2023 Track season
And a tiny, tiny bit of subjectivity.

The Top Tens
A ranking of the top tens teams in each division. These are scored as if there was one big XC meet containing all the teams in each division. They contain incoming freshmen, assuming those that ran XC in 8th grade will run in 9th grade at the school that makes sense.
Regional Previews
Projected regional scores and top runners based on one’s returners and incoming freshmen.
