The Rundown
Just as his sister Emma, Greg seems poised to have a senior year full of memories. The lead up into this final season truly began to come into form during his sophomore year, where Greg was able to slip under 17:00 on multiple occasions before placing 75th at MIS. His 2022 season was bookended by much faster efforts – in the early season at Webberville and the postseason at Shepherd, he was sub-16. Track saw further progress, where Up North Elite training surely played a role in a full season that saw him qualify for the Division 2 3200m. All this said, I keep coming back to one interesting anecdote – Emma was 75th at State as a junior as well, this past season she was All-State in track and cross. There’s no reason Greg can’t do the same.
