Top Returners
Will obviously get a bigger writeup further down the line, but I wanted to note one stat when viewing her profile. By my count, she’s run 36 races at the HS level, winning 21 of those (close to 60%). The top teams will almost always have depth, but they’ll commonly have a low stick. Only taking home a singular point from one spot is helpful at any level.
Along with Aiden, a major reason the Bears took home the D4 Team State title. Beyond her track exploits, this was a girl that was in the 21’s (and even one appearance in the 20’s) from October 1st onward.
Cross country season had a pretty incredible gap from the lows to the highs. Starting well north of 30 minutes at Pete Moss, closing as an integral member of the 10th place Bear squad.
Consistent growth throughout the course of her freshman year and wasn’t afraid of big stages. In the most populated fields (Shepherd, Portage, MIS), Addisen was within a few seconds of 22:45.
Potential Newcomers
Gradually got her time down into the 13’s by the end of the year and moved from 10th to 5th in the NWC.
Another that was top-10 in the final NWC Jamboree. But even better than that, 3rd in the NWC 1600m come spring.
