The Rundown

Through fits, battles, and adversity, this girl just keeps coming back stronger. During her sophomore year, after an illness derailed her chance of competing at the State XC Finals, she came through with a track season where she soared to new heights, bringing her already quick mid-distance times down to 2:17/5:03. For many, that would lead into a fall full of medals and podiums, but for Morgan, she was unfortunately sidelined for much of the season. A lesser girl may have folded, Morgan did not, this time showing her incredible strength with a 11:00 in the pouring rain and her savviness in a MITCA 1600m, her final 200m being the deciding move, coming across the line in 4:56. I’m not one to say a person deserves something, but it would be extra sweet if Morgan is able to taste a full season of success in these next few months.
