Top Returners

Shannon Gillahan

Undertook a massive improvement as a junior, running in the 18’s for the first time ever in her career. She liked those fast times so much that she was sub-19 on four separate occasions.

Lily Salazar

Joined Gillahan in the 18’s with a magical regional effort, clinching the Region 1 Championship for the Chiefs. Her 18:51 was a 25 second personal best.

Nicole Mays

About to be senior has finished each year of her career in the 19’s and just placed in the top-100 at MIS for the first time ever.

Elizabeth Schafer

Unfortunately, wasn’t able to complete a full XC season in her initial year in the Okemos program. When Elizabeth did race, we saw much contribution, entering the mid-19s, a part of their massive win at Bluejay.

Fiona Whitmyer

Freshman year was amazingly solid. Never over 21 and Fiona ran a personal best on the most crucial day of the year, helping snag a Regional championship.

Bryna Mead-O’Brien

Different regions from 2021 to 2022, impressive no matter how you shake it – Bryna moved up from 50th as a freshman to 20th as a sophomore.

October Harns

Began her freshman experience in the 23’s, ended on the Okemos state squad, nearly slipping under 20.

Lilli Vandervennet

JV for much of last year, but times give so much of a story. Lilli navigated her way from a 25 min+ girl as a freshman to one that snuck under 21:00 in early October. And given her 12:15 this spring, expect more from this late riser.

Potential Newcomers

Gabriella Fugazzi

11th at Jr. Greater Lansing, sub-13 on a few occasions. Watch out for her on the track, being sub-2:30 is mighty magnificent at that age.
