Top Returners

Vishvaa Ravishankar

Knew he was in a good spot last summer when he was running mid-17’s at Hansons Summer Cross Country. As summer turned to fall, that resulted in a whirl of a season that featured a two minute drop from his previous best, a win in the Green Division at Spartan, and an All-State.

Louis D’Souza

One of the more effortless forms you’ll find, but trust me, he’s working hard. Very nearly broke 16:00 at Jackson. His championship season wasn’t nearly as quick, though it seems he figured out how to perform during the late season in track. A 4:22 at Renaissance qualified him for State, where he placed 21st.

Kian Schneeweis

Excellent on what some may deem tougher courses. Hess Hathaway was a bit quicker last year, Oakland County was as good of conditions as its ever been, but even then, Kian hovered around the 17:00 mark.

Akshat Arora

In two high school years, has found a home in the 1600m. A 4:46 placed in the freshman County meet, then a 4:36 this spring placed at the Renaissance Regional.

Jacob Van Houten

Where did that 3200m come from? His 10:18 at the OAA Red/White Championship was a 35+ second personal best. If a sophomore running in the low-10’s is Troy’s #5 man, they’re poised to overwhelm teams in larger meets.

Richard Qu

First season of cross ended with three of four October races in the 18’s.

Potential Newcomers

Quinn Kelly

The rare upperclassman addition. The Kelly family, back from a few years in Alpena (and Quinn, a fall in Mexico) brings back someone that could be an immediate contributor. Tough to tell the potential difference in two seasons, though it would follow logic that a mid-17 freshman two years ago can find some similar, if not better times.
