This was supposed to be Saugatuck. Unfortunately, a rash of injuries and accidents have ravaged their team.
These previews, these writings, these posts are made with one main purpose: to preview and give attention to the best sport in the world, all summer long. With a massive undertaking, there are many assumptions to be made. The assumption of good health, that cross country runners keep running cross country, that kids from a town’s middle school attend that same town’s high school. Often these assumptions hold true, on a few occasions they fall flat.
So out of respect to the Bauers and their Trailblazers, this is the post. Given their past penchant for success, I have no doubt Saugatuck will be back and could very likely surprise us this season.
