Top Returners

Braylon Petty

Hit PB’s in all three distance events this spring, probably the most significant being the 1600m. His 4:23 at Golden Triangle subtracted 6 seconds from his sophomore best and set the stage for his first State Qualifier in the event.

Moises Salazar

After posting the best freshman time at MIS, went onto have a marvelous track season, containing PB’s of 2:05, 4:30, and 9:41. The latter two ranked in the top-10 amongst all 9th graders.

Matthew Canales

Such a great story of ascending into one of the better runners on one of the better teams. Began his career with a season comprised of 20:00+ races, save one for finally breaking through with a 19:58 to close his freshman year. This past season contained similar barrier breaking – only this time it was getting into the 16’s.

Landyn Soule

Gradually whittled his sophomore times down to the low-17’s. Two of his better races came toward the end of the season, 17:12 and 17:10 efforts at Hudson Mills and Milan.

Riley Smith

Has gotten into the 17’s during each of his two high school seasons, placing in the top-25 in Lenawee County in both years.

Jackson Nyack

After countless races in the low-18’s, took advantage of a quick course at Hudson Mills to get into the 17’s. And didn’t just sneak by, as he ran 17:42.

Potential Newcomers

Carter Fenner

Won all the SEC Jamborees and Lenawee County. Owns the #16 mark in the 3200m from this track season, where he ran 10:35.

Silas Skeels

Sub-12 on all but one of his 2 mile races, 3rd place in Lenawee County and 7th in Zone 2. By the way, the Adrian MS team was the Zone 2 champion, letting you know how bright the Maple future may be.

Edward Hedrick

Top-10’s at Lenawee County, in the SEC, with numerous sub-12’s to his name.
