The Rundown

Some are born into success, others have to work for it, Vishvaa definitely fitting that latter category. His first two years at the high school level were filled with 17-18 min. efforts, a solid runner on a solid team, but nothing like the form he displayed in the ’22-’23 season. Concentrating on the 3200m as a sophomore, we saw the first inklings of what was to come. First, blasting through 10-flat on a cold, blustery day at Oxford, then turning that effort into four more sub-10’s including top finishes in the OAA Red/White, Region 10, and Oakland County.

His junior year was the realization of the work and the late sophomore breakthrough. August Time Trials and summer races showing he was in shape, but patiently waiting to pounce upon the record books. After a win at Spartan and in the OAA Red, he was flying high, confidence soaring heading into Jackson. He left Sharp Park with a 15:47, etching his name into the #3 spot in Colt history, setting up for a memorable championship season. That championship season included an All-State, an even greater personal best, and leading his team toward an Oakland County Championship. Held by the esteemed Mike Atchoo, that Troy school record is in sight, and based on his speedy track season, 100% attainable while Vishvaa leads his team towards even more glory.
