The Rundown
Boringly patient and metronomic, unless she decides to unleash a devastating kick on ya. Often at the forefront of races, Lucy can accomplish a task with a multitude of strategies. At the past two Oakland County XC Championships, she’s won by taking over the pace early, ratcheting up the pressure as the course traversed over its many hills. At the 2022 Division 1 Finals 3200m, she quietly waited in a pack of three before ripping a 70 to close and place second. In this spring’s edition of the State Finals, she grabbed the stick in third, opening up at least a 30m lead on her second leg of the 4x800m. Pair these with two consecutive top-6’s at XC State and you have a girl unafraid of the moment with every intention to stick her nose in there.
