The Rundown

I always love doing the Brighton writeups as I just can mosey on our over to their thorough website, click on the captains page, and read about their top runners. It’s telling when a fast runner is named a captain, because then you know they’re a consummate teammate and leader besides just having wheels. Learning more about Tyler, I’m not at all shocked that a mentor who’s in Interact and Boy Scouts is revered by his teammates and coaches.

When he’s not busy being a solid presence in the Brighton community, Brock is improving by leaps and bounds in his running. These gains have come in the course of a season, such as a freshman year where he sliced nearly 6 min. off his debut time. Or in his career, where another 3 min. were erased from that freshman best to now. Junior varsity at Regionals his first two years to 9th as a junior. Running in ovals, from 10:36 as a 9th grader to 9:29 in May.

Need I go on? I see no sign of this trend stopping.
