Projected Scores

This post is made with the assumption that the Jazwinski children will be able to compete for Shelby. As always, I keep things positive and optimistic on here, and that holds true towards an athletes’ ability to compete. The MHSAA may feel differently (Executive Committee seems strict on these), but I’m hopeful.

Bobby Jazwinski

More words to come down the road, but a 9:23 3200m usually leads the freshman list in Michigan. Wild how it was “only” #3 this spring.

Gus Rohde

Also more to be written later, but until that time, let’s just remember his ferocious kick to finish 2nd at State.

Robert Dykhouse

Put together a solid freshman track spring, then turned that into an XC season that featured a 4th place finish here.

Jack Slotman

Jack’s sophomore version of cross wasn’t quite as quick as his freshman one, but he rebounded very nicely during track. 2:06 became 2:01 and 4:58 turned into 4:39.

Cooper Tiffany

On here off the heels of an outstanding kick off to his track career. A 4:41 in the 1600m placed in the CSAA and Region 23, it was also the #8 freshman time in D3.

Jessica Jazwinski

2x FootLocker Qualifier, 2x XC State Champion, and just an all around great persona that we appreciate in our sport. More words to come down the line!

Kamryn Salladay

Freshman saved her best for the very last races of the season. Was already projected to place well in D3 (14th), but blew out that idea, finishing 8th and shattering the 19 min. mark.

Nora Grossnickle

Monumental improvement on the track leads one to believe that something similar may occur during cross. Came into the spring with a 3200m best of 12:11, then spent every race in May lowering that. Finishing product was an 11:17, good for 6th in D3. I believe that’s 6 straight years that a BC girl has been on the podium in the 32.

Quinn Hatfield

Unfortunate that this region isn’t at Shepherd, cause that’s where Quinn has run her two fastest races, both sub-20. Regardless of speed though, she’s been able to perform in late October, placing within the top-15 each of the past two seasons.
