The Rundown

After an 8th grade year where he won all but one cross race and capped it off with a 16:12, we were all pretty pumped to see what young Bobby would give us as a freshman.

It took a little adjustment period to get started, absorbing a loss at Pete Moss. But by the time Ottawa Hills rolled around, Bobby was ready to run fast. A 15:33 there was the kickstart to a fall season where he’d break 15:40 on five separate occasions.

By the end of the year, Bobby had a little downturn. Which says a ton about his toughness, cause his downturn was a 3rd place finish in D3.

He gets a bit underrated because of this outstanding class. If you think about his times with regard to history, they become a bit more impressive. For instance, his 9:23 3200m ranked as the 4th best freshman 3200m in the past ten years. Riley Hough didn’t run faster, neither did Carter Solomon, Nathan Walker, I don’t think Hobbs Kessler was even running yet.

I’m not sure what the Jazwinski plan is for the next year. A year in the lab, ready to cook in ’25, I’m sure Bobby will be right here.
