MIXC vs. REALITY

Yet another region where the projections matched the output. All of those who were thought to be qualifiers had a 95%+ chance of advancing. As someone who always love seeing new faces, I’m enthused for the Montrose Boys, who haven’t had a single runner race at MIS since 2021 and are sending a team for the first time in six years.

Beyond the Rams, a few individuals had a breakout day on most pressure-filled race of the year:

Brynn Burrows, Claire Burrows, and Masen O’Neil, Millington – the Cardinals must’ve hit training just right in anticipation of this meet because all three caught my eye.

Brynn was projected 21^st and placed 9^th.
Claire was projected 18^th and placed 11^th.
Masen was projected 23^rd and placed 17^th.

Replete with many tight turns, the Bath track isn’t the easiest regional course. Yet all three hit personal bests. For O’Neil, it was his first time in the 17’s and a 1.5-minute improvement from 2024. The Burrows’ have both moved from the 24’s to begin the year to the low-21’s here at the end.
