Top Returners

Parker Tiethof

Turned a switch late, graduating from a kid running the mid-17’s for a majority of his career to one with six straight mid-16 efforts.

Aden Ashworth

His freshman 3200m campaign closed with a 9:55, 6th amongst all freshmen boys in Division 2.

Ronnie Silviera

Top placing freshman boy in Region 11, then 3rd best amongst his 9th grade brethren across all of Division 2.

Kilian Whalen

Slowly growing and coming back into the form that led to an All-State as a freshman. His 9:54 on the track was his first time getting under 10:00.

Ben Gross

Displayed incredible strength during track, able to nearly break 10:00 in the 3200m while “only” sporting a 1600m best of 4:46.

Gavriel Modderman

ANOTHER upcoming sophomore, finishing his ’22 season with seven straight sub-19’s.

Keegan DeHare

Closed his freshman year with a few sub-19’s, two of which on his home course.

Potential Newcomers

Mason Hill

Mid-12’s all throughout cross, including a 4th place in the WMMSC Blue.

Top Returners

Elena Figueroa

Just finished her best track season yet, dropping 30+ seconds in the 1600m and more than a minute in the 3200m. Dropped a stunning 4:52 at State, placing 5th in Division 1.

Gail Vaikutis

The second part of a devastating combination, she was also a figure on the track. Gail claimed victory in the SMAC 800m and 1600m to go with a Region 3 win in the 800m. Multiple 2:1x’s on her resume.

Cecilia Ruchti

After a year absence, found herself back in the 19’s. Ceci moved from 24th to 9th in the SMAC and placed in the top-100 at State for the first time ever.

Jade Murdoch

Transformed from a sophomore girl largely running over 23:00 and to a junior that snuck under 20:30 late.

Hannah Wier

Found a groove late in her freshman year, sub-22 in her final six races, including a 20:45 at Portage.

Grace Kelley

2022 season was cut short, but if back, could unlock an even lower place for the Bears. Was All-Region in Region 3 as a freshman and sophomore for the Bears.

Potential Newcomers

Lydia Johnson

Mid-12 efforts on many occasions, winning the Berrien County championship and placing 4th in Zone 1.

Lily Cummings

Just five races on her 8th grade portfolio, but was 2nd in Berrien County and slipped under 13:00 late.

The Rundown

He just runs at a high level every single race. Seriously, look at those stats above. Save for an early, hot race at Averill in 2021, every single effort in the 16’s or lower. During championship season, his 16:16 as a sophomore led to a 45th place finish, the 4th man on a State Title squad. He grabbed his own honors last year, netting a 24 spot, his first All-State ever on the grass. Named a captain this year, one attribute evident in his bio is his love of his Bulldog brothers, and that love shown through the mental and physical war of cross country will be needed on their underdog quest for another title.
