- He’s always turned it up a notch when October hits, as a freshman he broke 17:00 for the first time at Portage, as a sophomore the same with a sub-16:00 at Portage
- In track he showed his versatility, reaching down to 2:00 but also showing his strength with a 9:24
- His experience being a part of winning teams will play a major role in the finishing stretch at MIS, where he’s sure to be in the mix
- As I always say, winners win
- Ava is the final incoming freshman off the board
- She was purely dominant in 2020 (and heck, 2019 for that matter)
- Her closest competition came in the Chargers Invite, where narrowly scooted to a 62 second victory
- She’s been challenged a few times in her middle school career, finishing behind Arianne Olson a few times in 6th grade and coming in ahead of Helen Sachs in a 2019 race
- Historically, her times hold up as well
- Her 9:28 on the AHHC course is bested by Helen Sachs 9:22
- Her 9:14 on Unity Christian’s course runs slightly behind Arianne Olson’s 12:03
- Her 12:24 at Christian Schools (2 days after Chargers) is second only to Madelyn Frens 11:44
