- Jack is here because of the enormous leap he made in track, especially in the 3200m
- His 9:34 (a state qualifier) is at least 20-30 seconds better than expected given his XC season, so expect some major PRs this fall
- Lydia had the same breakthrough as Jack, but just a season earlier
- She was a solid runner for Saline her first two years and ended her sophomore campaign with a sub-20:00 performance at her regional’s PROM
- Competing as a varsity runner in 2020, she knocked more than a minute off her previous best
- Beginning with a 18:59 at Riverside Park, she went on a tear that ended with an All-State berth
- That progression continued into track, as she showed range from the 800 (2:22) to the 3200 (11:25)
- Her best time of the bunch was likely her 1600m (5:12)
