2022’s Best Distance Crews

Back again with a look at 2022’s Best Crews. This time, the most recognizable to the loyal readers out there – the Distance Crews. This is the first of the bunch that includes relays. You’ll notice the relays aren’t scored in the same ballpark as individuals, rather they’re scaled to attempt to match their importance in a meet and roughly equal the same output as a great band of individuals.

You’ll also notice that the top squads here are eerily similar to those who placed on podiums in November. Perhaps a lesson to those who don’t value track as much. You put in the work this spring and you’ll see the payoff in the fall.

I think I’ve figured out the schedule that I want to release these. I’ll try to rotate through every 2 weeks, in this order – Sunday: Jumps, Tuesday: Hurdles, Thursday: Vault, Sunday: Distance, Tuesday: Throws, Thursday: Sprints. Spreading it out should give me time to write a sentence, paragraph, or word about battles and rivalries in each event, each division.
