I’m switching things up a bit this week. In my endless browsing of running related subjects, I came across this page on ILXCTF. Essentially, it’s a friendly competition of team members that have gone sub 5/sub 6 in the 1600 that season. I decided to throw together my own version for Michigan schools.
Athletic.net still confuses me in some regards. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why VanderLende’s 4:44 isn’t listed on their performance list, but the result is there on her page. And then there are the issues of lap counting (more for the 3200). If I were to do this next year, I would go the ILXCTF route and have coaches e-mail. And, rules permitting, cobble together some prizes for the top schools.
