2022 Ratings: Highlander

The first of the evening races featured a few teams that ran at Lamplighter (Howell, Bishop Foley, Walled Lake Western), making data easy to compare.

Boys Adjustment: -20
Girls Adjustment: -24

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

Howell Boys: The Highlanders have done a great job of making themselves noticed in these first two Fridays of the season. In the early race at Lamplighter, they caught my eye, many gold jerseys running at or near the front of the pack. Here, they tied with Linden, one of the top Division 2 teams. Additions such as Connor Ford don’t hurt, a senior running in the low to mid-18’s in his first two races. Now I’m not anointing them the new favorite in Region 4, but they’re certainly on a path towards placing higher than my 8th place projection.

Walled Lake Northern Girls: Packed up and dominated the girls race. These Knights know success, winning both the Region 7 and LVC titles in 2021, placing 2nd in Oakland County as well. It appears they’re back on that mission.
