It’s baaack. A summertime tradition has returned, the 50 Tickets to Brooklyn. These lists celebrate the top 50 returners – based on a concoction of the ’25 XC season, projected improvements, the ’26 Track season, and a tiny bit of my own input.

You Know I Dig Improvement
Cavernous is a great description for the difference in times between two sets of seasons – his 9th and 10th grade track campaigns and 10th and 11th grade cross crusades.
Caden started his career off on a good foot, so it follows that if you add in sizable improvement, you get one of the faster and more well-rounded runners this state has to offer. That good foot came by way of a freshman fall where he featured in the mid-16’s and competed in Brooklyn for his Bulldogs. As a 9th grader on the oval, he’d moved to 2:02/4:28/9:42 and in the following fall, was a low-16 guy with the occasional outburst into the 15’s.
In each scenario, a year of growth later resulted in a significant slashing of times. 2:02 became 1:54, 4:28 turned into 4:09, and 9:42 disintegrated into 9:19. The same occurred this past autumn, where the mid-15 outbursts were regular efforts. When Caden needed to race every step and go to the well, he was able to summon a 14:58, good for 3rd in Division 1.
With a solid start and substantial development, Caden has turned into an elite runner in every distance event and one that is reliable on Michigan’s biggest stages.
